Summer is a critical time for students in their academic journeys. Students at all grade levels can digress up to two or three months in their academic skills due to a nonacademic summer. The following resources may help guide summer programming and help raise awareness for parents in order to prevent summer learning loss.

The resources provided deal with programming in general and certain practices may not be applicable to 21st CCLC. If you are unsure if a recommended practice is permissible, please contact your program officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
