21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant funds cannot be used for food or snacks. However, many current 21st CCLC programs are eligible to receive funds through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service programs. The snacks and meals can contribute to the nutritional educational services provided during 21st CCLC programs. These resources help guide afterschool meal/snack planning.

The resources provided deal with programming in general and certain practices may not be applicable to 21st CCLC. If you are unsure if a recommended practice is permissible, please contact your program officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
